Creator Guidelines

These guidelines ensure that every design published on MarineLab3D meets the quality and safety standards our community of boat owners expects. Please read carefully before submitting your first design.

Design Quality Standards

Print-ready files only. All STL files must be watertight, manifold, and ready to slice without errors. Test your files before uploading.
Accurate dimensions. Your design must match the stated dimensions. Include tolerance notes where relevant.
Material recommendations. Specify the recommended material(s) for the intended marine environment (e.g. ASA for outdoor UV exposure, PETG for wet areas).
Installation documentation. Include at minimum one installation photo or diagram. Designs with thorough documentation receive priority placement.

Intellectual Property

You must be the original author of every design you upload.
Do not upload designs that replicate OEM parts protected by patents or trademarks.
By uploading, you grant MarineLab3D the right to distribute and sell your file under your chosen license model (exclusive or non-exclusive).
You retain full ownership of your intellectual property at all times.

Pricing Rules

Minimum price: €4.99 per file.
No maximum — you set your own price.
Suggested ranges: accessories €5–15 | structural components €15–35 | complete systems €35–99+

Review Process

Every submission goes through a review by the MarineLab3D team before it is published. We check for print quality, accurate descriptions, and compliance with these guidelines. Reviews are typically completed within 3–5 business days.
