🌱 HYDRO WICK PLANTER by MarineLab3D — a passive, self-watering hydroponic set to grow one plant with almost zero effort. WHAT IT IS A two-part set: a ribbed PLANT POT that seats into a deep WATER RESERVOIR. Fill the reservoir with nutrient solution, put your plant and growing medium in the pot, and the system waters itself for days. HOW THE WICK SYSTEM WORKS The Wick System is the simplest hydroponic method — passive: no pumps, no electricity, no moving parts. One or two wicks (cotton rope or felt) connect the water reservoir below to the growing medium above. By capillary action the nutrient solution climbs the wick and keeps the medium constantly moist, so the plant drinks on its own — exactly as much as it needs. Roots can also grow down through the wide holes toward the reservoir. When the level drops, top up through the refill spout — no need to lift the plant. WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT 💧 Self-watering: days of autonomy between refills. 🔌 No pump, no power — silent and blackout-proof. 🔩 Refill spout on the rim: add water and check the level without moving the plant. 🪝 Wall-mountable: the reservoir carries the MarineLab3D modular L-clip and hangs on the included rail bar. 📏 Parametric on diameter (Ø90–180 mm): everything scales. At Ø120 → ~0.76 L water · ~0.68 L growing medium. WHAT TO GROW Perfect for herbs (basil, mint, parsley), salad greens, microgreens and hardy houseplants (pothos, spider plant). Not for large, thirsty plants like tomato or pepper. Use an inert medium (perlite, coco coir, LECA) + a cotton/felt wick + a hydroponic nutrient. Tip: for a fully natural version, fill the pot with a living mix (coco coir + compost/worm castings) and let the reservoir supply mostly water. 🖨️ PRINT PETG or ASA (water/UV resistant) · 0.2 mm layers · 3–4 perimeters for a watertight reservoir. The two parts print separately, little or no support. Use "Customize" to set the diameter and the number of wicks, preview in 3D, then receive your STL after purchase.
